Integral membrane diacylglycerol kinase (DgkA)

A small membrane kinase solved with both synchrotron and XFEL radiation.

Three DgkA subunits (orange, gold and plum) seen from the side. The pale band shows roughly where the cell membrane would be.

Crystallised in the lipidic cubic phase, DgkA was studied in remarkable detail with several structures (3ZE3, 3ZE4, 3ZE5, 4UXW and others).
